Laser engraving the Friendship Pavilion on stainless steel
The Houston Taipei society was looking to create a plaque to honor Joe Turner, who was retiring from the Houston Parks and Recreation Department. Because Mr. Turner helped with the preservation, relocation, and restoration of the Friendship Pavilion when others in the city failed to recognize its significance, they chose to have an image of it engraved.
Due to time constraints and only a low quality image of the pavilion being available, Prince Customs stepped in with some photo retouching and optimization for the laser marking process. A suitable size and material was determined and then it was off to our laser.
Here is a short clip during the laser engraving process.
