Machining press-fit V160 shifter bushings
Autobanh Motorsports was looking for a higher quality and local supplier of V160 shifter bushings. Prince Customs took on the job and designed a set based on the standard rubber bushings. The goal was a smoother surface finish and tighter tolerances. Edge chamfering was added for a better feel and easier press fitting.
It was fun to make fixtures to machine these on our mill since this is a machining job typically done on a lathe.
