Customizing the Search + Destroy Humvees (By EVS Motors)
This branding and limited run fabrication project used both traditional methods and the latest in additive manufacturing. The Search + Destroy and Tier 1-3 emblems were designed in CAD software then 3D printed (SLA) in resin to maintain the crisp details. Thanks to EVS Motors for the installed pictures.
Security enclosures for the expensive thermal imaging cameras were plasma cut from sheetmetal then formed into shape on a box/pan brake. After painting, protective rubber trim was hand fitted to the outer edge.
The dash rails were first modeled in CAD software for proper alignment of the 3D printed (SLS) connectors at each corner. Being printed in white nylon, these connectors were dyed and painted in black for a long lasting finish. Then the perforated side rails were cut to size, bent, powdercoated and matched up with Mil-Spec 1913 Picatinny rails so that any aftermarket accessories could be mounted securely while crossing rough terrain.
